Adam Engelbrecht Portfolio

 Hello, my name is Adam Engelbrecht. I recently graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in History, completing my undergraduate thesis on a history of flooding in Iowa City and the relationship of people and nature. My professional background includes a mix of mediums and focuses, from podcast production to video digitization and archive curation as well as more academic history work. These diverse projects hold a shared focus on preserving stories of community and working towards new ways of seeing the world.

This website is a holding place for my past and current work, categorized broadly by focus. Sections of the site are dedicated to my history background and portfolio, as well as my audio-visual/archive work. My current project, an environmental history podcast, is my effort to meld these worlds in order to approach historical storytelling in a unique way.
